AND ON THE 7TH DAY… HE RESTED.
Howdy! If you’re new to my blog, welcome! For those of you that keep up regularly, welcome back! I hope that everyone is doing well and that your new years resolutions are off to a great start. I’m here to today to help make this transition through the new year, as smooth as possible. I know that many of you may have done new year resolutions, and I hope that those are going well. One of my goals this year is to have more of a routine. I remember wishing that I had a more regular schedule, back when I was a cop and here I am with a regular ‘joe smo’ Monday- Friday 9-5 and I still haven’t learned to properly manage my time. I’ve decided to invest in what many call a “Self Love Sunday.”
Typically, Sunday is that day that we realize the weekend is over and we have to go back to being responsible adults. Many of us try to get ready for the work week on these days, but sometimes I find myself lounging around for the majority of the day. Well, that is no more! Asides from special occasions, I’d really like for my Sunday’s to be more structured and productive.
Here’s the gist of #SelfcareSunday’s… treat your self to some self love, DUH!! What I mean by this, is remembering to give yourself the attention that you need. I know that this can be difficult to schedule sometimes, especially for my followers that have families, but you can get them into the swing of things as well!
I understand that everyone is different and has different things that they enjoy or that makes them happy, but I just wanted to share with you all my routine and if you like it fine, if you don’t, create your own. I won’t be offended… I probably won’t even know **Kanye Shrug.**
9AM: Church / or motivational speaker: Even if you don’t go to church, definitely start you day with something inspirational. I personally really enjoy listening to Les Brown, but there are several motivational speakers out there. I find lots of good things on Youtube. I think this is important. Just like church, listening to something motivational really sets the tone for the week. Please try it, you won’t be disappointed.

11am: Grocery shop for the week: Make sure that you make a list or keep note of what you need throughout the week. Have an idea of what you want to eat for the upcoming week and stick to your grocery list. One thing I’m trying to work on is spluring and wasteful spending at the grocery store. Sometimes I look up and I’ve spent $50 at the grocery store, for just myself. That’s $200 a month! There has to be a better way.. so I’ve been make to major meals for the week. I kill two birds with one stone. I’m saving money on groceries and I spend hardly any time in the kitchen throughout the week. If I cook dinner once a week, thats 5 hours of my life that I’ll never get back… I’d rather not.
1pm: MEAL PREP: Enough said, I hope. But I also like to have clothes in the washer/ dryer while I’m doing this. As I take breaks in between cooking, I make sure to switch the loads. Also, fold your clothes as soon as they’re dry. I’ve noticed if I wait to long to fold my clothes.. they’ll sit in the basket all week…. unfolded. LoL.
3pm: Work out: Highest of keys… working out on a Sunday is an excellent way to start your week. If your aim is to work out 3x’s a week, working out on Sunday means you only have to work out 2 times during the week. Also, it will help make sure you get a great nights rest before you start your work week.

5pm: Wash day: Wash/ deep condition your hair: Be sure to sit under the dryer for 20-30 mins while deep conditioning. As you sit under the dryer, think of what you need to accomplish this upcoming week and write it all down. This gives you a way to really stay on track throughout the week.
7pm: Bubble Bath/ Wine: do not skip this step! Baths are so relaxing and another way to be rested for the week. Turn on some nice music, light some candles, pour some bubbles and some wine! For my baths, I like to pour in green rubbing alcohol, oil, and Epsom salt. I also like to do a face mask of some sort while I’m in the tub… its soooo relaxing.

8pm: By now you should be relaxed and in bed. I like to paint my nails as I watch a few episodes of TV. Suddenly, I’m yawning and then I’m out like shout….
I think that you can tell that my Sunday’s are going to start being very productive. I will try to do an update in 2-3 months and let you guys know if I’m still doing good.
What are some of your Sunday routines? I’m interested to hear, please leave a comment below and tell us!
